I Vietnam, forests take up around half of the total land area. It plays a vital ecological resource, contributing to socio-economic development and well-being. The way we interact with and use forests is thus critically important for biodiversity conservation and development.
This report is not a thorough treatise on biodiversity; instead, it will update the current state of forest biodiversity and a synopsis of the adverse effects of deforestation on humanity. A series of case studies to identify success factors and win-win solutions demonstrates the effectiveness of policies, actions, and methods in conservation and sustainable development objectives.
